What is love and how does it apply to your life?
Love is defined as an intense feeling of deep affection; a person or thing that one loves (Merriam Dictionary 2019).
We usually relate, love to our relationship with someone, or how we feel about something. If you think about it, love is one of the best-kept secrets of happiness. The need to be loved could be considered a fundamental need in the world we live in today. We all want to be loved by someone and we all want to be in love with someone.
So do you understand how love applies to your life yet?
Love applies because many of us use the term too loosely. I say this because we often confuse love with infatuation. Think about it! Infatuation is very similar but it’s short-lived, love is unconditional and forever. Often times we think we are in love and pursue a relationship with someone when really we are just infatuated.
How many of you can honestly say you have been in love with someone? How many of you can honestly say you understand love? I can admit that I didn’t really understand love in my first relationship.
I felt like I was in love, but I was just infatuated. I learned the difference, I knew how to love my children and my family, but to really understand loving someone outside of that was something I was not familiar with.
Love is positive energy! Love is special, there is no greater feeling than to feel love. I encourage you to love yourself first. If you can’t love yourself then you can’t begin to love anyone or anything else.
Love is an important feeling to have along your journey in life. Remember you were born for a purpose! It is important for you to find that purpose and tap into its greatness.
“Love yourself. It is important to stay positive because beauty comes from the inside out” Jenn Proske
“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do”
