What is forgiveness and how does it apply to your life?
Forgiveness is defined, by the Websters New World Dictionary (2018), as the action or process of forgiving or being forgiven (Agnes 2018).
Forgiveness is just what it says, forgive! You have to forgive in order to grow, in order to be happy. Forgiveness allows you to move into your purpose in life. You have to forgive those who have caused you pain. You have to forgive whoever betrayed you! You have to forgive whoever used you! You have to forgive whoever hurt you! You have to forgive whoever did anything that caused you grief!
Forgiveness is not for the person that hurt you, forgiveness is for YOU!
You can not walk around full of negative emotions or you will hinder yourself from becoming what you are destined to become. Your hurt is not bothering the person that hurt you, it is only hindering YOU! Not forgiving someone is like staying trapped, inside your own mind. Not forgiving is like being trapped in a cell, with no out date. You have to let it go and forgive! You have to move past the experience and learn from it or it will continue to stunt your growth.
Know your worth! Ask yourself why are you allowing the pains of the past to hinder you from your future? Are you not worthy of something better? I believe you are! You were born for a purpose! Know this! You are destined to be great! Understand this! Know your worth! You deserve better!
I encourage you to make peace with your past and the experiences that have shaped you. Forgive those that have wronged you, move past the pain and let it go! Only when you forgive will you open your mind to allowing something positive to enter your life! I challenge you to forgive every person that has hindered you from growth, including yourself! Forgive yourself for allowing it to happen! Understand why you allowed it to happen and grow from what you learned.
You were born for a purpose! Find your purpose! Tap into your greatness!
“When you forgive, you in no way change the past – but you sure do change the future” Bernard Meltzer
“Never forget the three powerful resources you always have available to you: love, prayer, and forgiveness”
H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
