What is gratitude and how does it apply to your life?
Gratitude is defined, by The New World dictionary (2018), as the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness (Agnes 2018).
Gratitude is an emotion, which is a feeling and can be considered a personality trait. Your gratitude affects your happiness. Gratitude is you being thankful, and showing appreciation. Ask yourself are you grateful for the life you have been given? Are you showing appreciation for this life? Are you grateful that you were able to survive in your life thus far?
Being grateful is a choice! You are not entitled to anything, so, therefore, you should be grateful for everything you have been given. Not just for life, but for the people in it, and all that you have. Even if it isn’t a lot, be grateful. You were given this life for a purpose. I encourage you to find your purpose and be grateful you found it.
Every day is a gift! Every day you wake up with a chance at life again! Use it wisely! We were born for a purpose! Be grateful that you were given a chance to find that purpose!
