Blessings are defined by The New World Dictionary (2018) as gods favor and protection (Agnes 2018).

Blessings are things you should be thankful for. I was always taught to “count your blessings”, meaning, be thankful for everything you have and everything you take for granted. Such as the fact that you were able to open your eyes when you awakened today; or the fact you were able to get out of the bed and move every limb on your body; or what about the fact that you had air to breathe, food to eat, water to drink, a sound mind, a place to shower, a bed to sleep in, a roof over your head, gas, electricity,  sunlight on your face, the list of things to be grateful for are entirely too long for a blog. The point is you should feel blessed every day.

We all face barriers! We all face discouragement! We all face negative energy! We all face obstacles that make us doubt why we even exist at times but do we count our everyday blessings? Do we see how good we actually have it? Some of us didn’t wake up today! Recognize the blessings in your life and be thankful for them.

I encourage you to count your blessings and be grateful for the life you were given. Tap into your greatness and see what you become.

“The thing to do, it seems to me, is to prepare yourself so you can be a rainbow in somebody else’s cloud. Somebody who may not look like you. May not call God the same name you call God – if they call God at all. & may not dance your dances or speak your language. But be a blessing to somebody. That’s what I think.”
