Morals & Values

What are morals and values? How do they apply to you?

A moral is defined as knowing the difference between right and wrong. A value is defined as to have importance or held to a high regard.

How do morals and values apply to your everyday life?

They apply because they are considered guides we follow throughout life.  Our morals guide us in doing good or bad things in our life. Our values are our guide to our feelings about the things we allow ourselves to do. Values are what we hold to a standard. Our morals and values define us as an individual.

I encourage you to evaluate your morals and values and see if they are what you are actually applying in your life. Are you contradicting yourself on what you say they are from what you are actually displaying?

What are you allowing into your life that is distracting you from what you actually value? What are you allowing into your life to compromise your morals?  Anything you allow to distract you from having good morals and values is a barrier. Recognize where you are allowing barriers in your life that are preventing you from growing into your greatness. Only you know what they are, society only sees what you portray.

I encourage you to practice good morals and to better your values. Many of us our lost right now and I believe morals and values give you a good plan for a great start on being a better person not just for yourself but for the betterment of society. Evaluate yourself and what you value so that you can become a better YOU!

Quotes:

“You don’t teach morals and ethics and empathy and kindness in the schools. You teach that at home, and children learn by example”

Judy Sheindlin

“When history is erased, people’s moral values are also erased”

Ma Jian
